This is a sweet little documentary filmed by the talented Jed Wells. It documents the making of my last record "Someday, Someday" as well as footage of touring, house concerts, and a music video of "Calling Your Name." This albums was recorded live with up to 10 musicians playing together in the same room. I loved this process of making music with people I care about and in a setting that puts the songs first. Hope you enjoy!

about

I feel like this song 'happened' to me. Usually songwriting feels like work. good work, but work. This song arrived in one piece, finished in a night. I love the way I feel singing it. Paul Jacobsen provided the amazing backup vocals.

lyrics

calling calling calling his name

need a friend in a real bad way

outnumbered by fears and caught in barbwire

elisha elisha bring your chariots of fire

calling calling calling her name

I need a mother in a real bad way

I’ve known a hand that has meant me harm

mary mary, wrap me in your loving arms

no one’s to blame for being lonely

no ones to blame for getting lost

i’m so far from anything holy

I’ll just send my prayer up and hope it gets caught

calling calling calling your name

I need a lover in a real bad way

i was too young to foolish to slow

oh lover oh lover, lets give this another go

no one’s to blame for being lonely

no ones to blame for getting lost

i’m so far from anything holy

I’ll just send my prayer up and hope it gets caught

I’ll just send my prayer up and hope it dont get lost
