Mercy Me

This song started when I was having a rough summer. When suddenly you realize that nothing feels safe and your not sure how you got there. Never intended to record this song, it was one written for my own heart. But I love this track, and I always love singing it live.

Thought I knew this road by heart
after all I could walk it even in the dark
I knew all the signs and where to stop
so I still do not know where I got lost

oh mercy me
oh mercy me

When nothing goes the way that you plan
and every word that falls feels like a reprimand
your not a child but your legs barely stand
will this love hold?

oh mercy me
oh mercy me
oh have mercy on me
show me the way

(instrumental bridge)

had it mapped out in my mind
back to Monterey in the summertime
but summers here and the roads are still closed
I feel distance aching in my bones
oh mercy me
oh mercy me
oh have mercy on me
show me the way
